Calendar Reflection

Calendar Reflection

In order to be a successful college student one must perfect the art of time management. They must manage the amount of fun they are having with the real reason they are at college, academics. I feel that overall if I follow my weekly calendar I should have no problem having the best time of my life while still being successful academically. I have 32 hours a week set aside for homework which gives more time than the suggested 6 hours per class as I have 5 classes. I also have set aside time to try to go to the gym every day. While some mornings it will definitely be hard to get up and go to the gym, it is something I need to do to stay healthy and keep myself from the freshman fifteen. All through my life I have been able to manage my time very well and my priority here is to be very success academically. If I maintain my drive to be academically successful and follow my weekly calendar schedule I see no reason why I would not be successful.

Reflection:
When I read Jenny's blog I learned a helpful tip that I had never used before. That tip is put my phone away when trying to get work done. This would be very helpful as I get distracted very easily when doing homework and I would be able to get my work done faster and with efficiency. It's also nice to know that everyone will be going through the same thing as me and will have to manage their time well to be successful academic.

I also read Addie's blog, and I really agreed that this class will require more than 6 hours a week. It will be difficult to manage especially since I have a heavy class schedule just like Addie. I also want to do the same as her which is writing everyday rather then saving it for the end of the week. Reading her post really made me realize how much work will have to be out in outside of class.

  2. Hi Sam, I was assigned to look at your blog for class today. I was wondering about how the things you mentioned in this post worked out this semester. Here are my questions:

    1. Do you still feel like you have enough time for the things you need to get done? Are you busier than expected?

    2. Have you been spending about 6 hours a week on this course as was suggested? Or do you find yourself spending more/less time consistently?

    3. Have you been able to go to the gym every day? I don't think I would be able to stay motivated for that.
